Welcome to Bristol Opera!
Founded in 1923, we are Bristol’s only opera company that regularly presents fully staged grand opera, sung in English. Soon to celebrate our centenary year, we always welcome new members. Whether you’re an aspiring professional, an amateur or have never done opera before, we have plenty of roles on-stage and off-stage to suit your experience and interests.
Our new season starts on Thursday 3rd October at Horfield Methodist Church
Rehearsals start at 7:30 pm (arrival 7:15 to collect scores). If you are interested in coming along please contact our membership secretary so that we can look out for you on arrival. The entrance to the Church is in Churchways Ave, Horfield.
If you are unsure about which voice part you would like to sing, then you could come along and observe the first half of the rehearsal, talking to the Musical Director in the break.
